CHEF and kids™
OPERATING SINCE FEBRUARY 2016
A two part farm-to-table culinary arts program focused on mentoring our youth while guiding them through a variety of ways to grow, harvest, prepare and cook different types of food. Participants even get to learn about different cultures and their variety of recipes.
We refer to our first four of six lessons in the program as the "Seedlings Grow" stage, where youth visit local farms and gardens to learn everything from germinating the seed and preparing the soil, to growing their own food and harvesting it.
The second part of the program involves lessons 5 and 6; The "Seedlings Eat" stage; where youth now partner up with a different chef periodically to learn how to prepare, cook, plate, serve and eat a variety of delicious artistic styles of dishes from all over the world. An added bonus is that our youth are exposed to different cultures while learning server etiquette and table manners throughout the duration of the program!
We currently have teams developing and operating CHEF and KIDS programs in Miami, Florida, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and soon Chicago, Illinois.
