OPERATING SINCE FEBRUARY 2015

​A three part social program designed to empower participants by developing their interpersonal communication skills; and thus their confidence.

In part one of this initiative youth are taught how to write by being exposed to a variety of poetry writing styles and techniques and by connecting with themselves, as well as, places, things, and other people.

In part two, youth learn how to read and recite their poetry and are then guided and prepared for their "elevator pitch" experience. Taking the time necessary to help build up confidence and calm the nervous butterflies as they also learn to breathe and clear their minds.

In part three, Now-Poets utilize their newly sharpened poetic skill to charm and elevate guests in building elevators by coming up with quick words meant to inspire, move and enlighten, or otherwise "elevate" the minds of elevator riders as they "elevate" to their next destination.

This is a program designed to build confidence and interpersonal communication skills, as well as, introduce participants to what is known as the "Elevator Pitch."
